DragonWriter’s Neighborhood

July found me packing up a minivan with the wife, brother-in-law, mother-in-law and two cats, and driving across the country and 1/2 way to the north pole. close to 10 hours in an over crowded vehicle was an experience, but the cats were surprisingly well behaved. We ended up in Sundsvall Sweden A lovely city on the east coast and north of Stockholm. The weather was mostly sunny with occasional rains but i still managed to get some colour(sunburn). The landscape is vastly different from that around Göteborg. High rolling hills and meandering rivers. 
I ended up taking 7.5Gb of photos (over 500 pictures) so to narrow it down to these few do not give the full impact of the area, but are just a teaser of the variety of views.

Wow the weather has been great this month, and June is looking like it is shaping up to be a nice month as well. Despite continued unemployment there is a lot going on, lots of plans being made and a major construction project under way. (video may be posted as things progress). A lot has changed over April. It started off cold and wet and not very nice so I se up the photo studio (Kitchen table) and took some pictures to follow along with some tutorials from my photo magazines.By mid April it was clearing, but still cold and muddy in the woods, this didn't stop me from going out and getting dirty. At last by the end of the month, the flowers started to bloom, and we were well on our way to a colourful spring.

It's a whole new year and the winter has been dark and cold, with out enough sun or snow to make interesting pictures. This month got me out of the apartment twice to take some pictures. While they are not spectacular, they are technically good so here is the pick of the bunch.

Frost, ice, and cold. This month there was no doubt about how tough the vikings were to handle the damp freezing weather in Scandinavia. All six of this months pictures were taken at Boras cemetery on All saint's day (November 1)

October brought the cold wet weather back so my picture taking days were limited. The first set are from the local cemetery where there is a memorial corner set up for children. The last two are Birch Thrush that were picking berries outside my window.
